C.E.S.A. - Chapter 3 - SumFrom sweltering heat and the blistering sun, he was glad when he began to feel the first frost in the following day. He saw it before he felt it. Frost forming on his legs, and arms. The hound started to feel it, and made it very noticeable that he didn’t like it.C.E.S.A. - Chapter 3 - Sum by Way-to-Haven
He whined, and click its teeth each time as the temperature dropped a degreed. Which was quite often. The transition from hot to cold was really noticeable. How the area remained so cold, CESA never knew.
On their path, they found signs of the Roc’s passing. Computer monitors, half frozen in ice where tossed about. Somewhere smashed completely, one had even caught fire recently and burned away the surrounding frost.
“Wonder if the cold slows it down.” CESA said quietly to his companion. He tightened his grasp on the spear, and brought it close to his chest for protection. A deep fear was within him. He didn’t want to admit it, he wanted to be strong like his parents. But it was hard. Very hard. H
C.E.S.A. - Chapter 2 - ErgoHe walked for a long time. But he didn’t keep track of the time. All he could say was ‘a long time’. Everything had been a long time.C.E.S.A. - Chapter 2 - Ergo by Way-to-Haven
The two had walked into daylight some time ago. And now the blistering sun was upon them. The hound kept walking, silent and at his master’s heals. CESA was near panting. His insides where being baked by the sun above, even if he did use his wings for shade.
The crude spear he held only helped to soak up the sun, and reflect its head back to the AI. Here, above them the ceiling had long collapsed. And the bearing sun and desert above leaked into the underworld they lived in. The ice caverns were far from here, yet in knowing that this had happened, this accident of collision between above and below, he wondered if there was any ice really left.
“I wonder what it’s like up there. If there is any natural life left.” CESA asked out loud. The hound barked quietly, just in agreement. CESA sighed, and stretched a bit.
C.E.S.A. - Chapter One - CogitoCESA balanced himself on one leg. He teetered gently back and forth, high above the base lair of panels. He remained high above on the mound of broken computer banks and monitors. He did this to amuse himself. Not often though, as this action scared his parents. They would always tell him ‘Be careful. We cannot spare the extra nanites to repair you.’ Funny, he never needed them. If anything it was always his dad that needed them.C.E.S.A. - Chapter One - Cogito by Way-to-Haven
The computer banks were tightly stacked together, creating a firm pillar above the ground. CESA switched legs, now stretching himself out, keeping a good balance. The danger excited him. He also enjoyed this spot, as it was easy to get to and offered an amazing view.
He was in the main cavern. A large area where rock and earth had been carved out to serve as the birthplace of his father’s legacy. Without this scar in the earth, he would not exist.
The sun had set an hour ago. And now the place had been lit up by the eternal fires that
